Nathalie Emmanuel

Nathalie Emmanuel was a British actress, best known for playing Missandei on HBO's fantasy epic "Game of Thrones" (HBO from 2011 to 19). Emmanuel, who was born and lived in Southend-on-the-Sea in Essex's famous seaside town was always interested in acting. Nathalie began to take singing, acting, and dance lessons at the age of three. Parents were instantly amazed. Emmanuel proved to be a gifted performer and actress. She was cast as an infant Nala by"The Lion King" in West End for the stage production "The Lion King" during the latter half of 1990. Emmanuel began to audition when she was a young teen for roles in film and television. Her breakthrough came in 2007, when she got chosen to play Sasha Valentine, a British soap-opera "Hollyoaks", (Channel 4 95between 2007 and 2010). Emmanuel performed the role for four years before leaving the show in 2010. Emmanuel's breakthrough moment followed three years later. she was cast in the role of Missandei who was the translator for the character Daenerys Targaryen (portrayed by Emilia Clarke), on HBO's "Game of Thrones."
